Eakok Attomanobik Unnayan Sangstha (EAKOK) is a well-established, non-profit, non-political, and humanitarian development organization with 25 years of committed services since its founding in 1999. Over the past two and a half decades, EAKOK has remained dedicated to advancing socio-economic development, safeguarding human rights, and promoting sustainable progress for marginalized and underprivileged communities across Bangladesh.
With a proud legacy of 25 years, the organization has successfully expanded access to quality education, strengthened health and nutrition services, ensured safe water and sanitation, and reduced poverty through livelihood and income-generating programs. Particular emphasis has been placed on empowering women and youth, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to actively contribute to community development and nation-building.
In addition, through environmentally sustainable initiatives including renewable energy solutions, clean cooking technologies, and afforestation programs EAKOK is making significant contributions to climate change mitigation and environmental conservation, safeguarding a healthier future for generations to come.
EAKOK firmly believes that true and lasting social transformation can only be achieved through participatory development, where communities are not passive recipients but active partners in shaping their own future. Guided by this philosophy, the organization engages directly with grassroots groups, ensuring that their voices, priorities, and aspirations drive program design and implementation. At the same time, EAKOK works in close collaboration with national stakeholders and international development partners including UN agencies and global networks to maximize impact and sustainability. This dual approach empowering communities from within while leveraging global alliances has significantly enhanced EAKOK’s ability to deliver inclusive, resilient, and transformative change.
Every intervention EAKOK undertakes is rooted in the values of transparency, accountability, justice, equity, and humanitarian principles, which form the foundation of the organization’s credibility and identity.
Our vision is to build an equitable, inclusive, and sustainable society where women and men, children and youth, rich and poor alike, enjoy equal rights, opportunities, and dignity. We believe that progress in education, health, livelihoods, and environmental stewardship together form the bedrock of a just and prosperous Bangladesh.
